There was a shake-up under center this week for the Baylor Bears as junior Blake Shapen was named the team's starting quarterback for the 2022 season. In a related move, last year's starter Gerry Bohanon has reportedly entered the transfer portal.

In his sophomore campaign, Shapen logged significant playtime while Bohanon was injured. The Louisiana native completed 72.1% of passes for 596 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.
Bohanon, who lead the Bears to a Sugar Bowl win last year, completed 62.9% of passes for 2,200 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He enters the transfer portal just ahead of the deadline on May 1.

CBS Sports speculates multiple schools are already interested in Bohanon because of his dynamic qualities, especially when it comes to running the ball on his own.
