Just a few weeks ago a voter in the media poll was asked why he voted the, one loss, LSU Tigers over the, previously, undefeated Arizona State Sun Devils and the currently undefeated Kansas Jayhawks. He answered with a word that should scare many football fans around the nation, "tradition." I don't know if everyone else is as lost as I am right now but what does their tradition have to do with the present day? The problem with this is that he is not the only pollster who feels this way, and with the coaches, and media poll, being two thirds of the BCS computer ranking system it is essential that these voters close their eyes to the names of these programs and focus on one thing, and one thing only, wins. If the rolls were reversed and Kansas was LSU and LSU was Kansas I would be willing to bet that Kansas would be the current number one team in the nation, and it is a sad story that these kids are not...
