Beau Pribula is familiar with Delaware thanks to his family ties

Penn State football quarterback Beau Pribula should see significant playing time this weekend. When the Nittany Lions take on an FCS opponent, the expectation is for the younger players to get more reps. Simply because the score is lopsided in these matchups. If the first-team offense and defense do their job at a high level, Pribula and his teammates could get a whole half to play. But Pribula is familiar with Delaware outside of just watching film on the team. He knows quite a few players because of his brother Cade Pribula and his time with the Blue Hens.

Beau Pribula is familiar with Delaware thanks to his family ties

Cade Pribula is the brother of Penn State football quarterback Beau Pribula. Cade is a graduate student who also plays quarterback, as he is currently with the Scared Heart Pioneers. But before transferring there, Cade started his career at Delaware. He was with their program from 2019 until the end of the 2021 season. Because of this, Beau Pribula has some familiarity with his opponent this weekend. He spoke with the media on Tuesday and mentioned the following.

Pribula said, “As far as Delaware you know, it’s pretty cool. You know, my brother went there and played quarterback there. And you know, I know a few guys on the team because he was roommates with them and they’re still there. …It’ll be a fun experience on Saturday.”

It will be interesting to see if there are any postgame interactions that Pribula has with opposing Delaware players because of his brother’s history.

Beau continues to look up to his brother Cade Pribula

Although the two don’t attend the same college, the brothers remain close. Beau opened up about his relationship with his brother Cade.

He said, “Yeah, we just talked on the phone yesterday. We talked about how his game went, and how my game went. You know, obviously, we talked about Delaware. We’re always talking about football. You know, he’s a great role model for me. A great person to bounce ideas off as a quarterback. And I think you know he helps me a lot in every area of the game and I think you know he’s done a phenomenal job just preparing me as a college quarterback.”
