Raise your hand if you had Wisconsin and MSU in title game tonight when the season started.
It was a little homerific on my part, but I had some logic to it. I wasn’t sold on Nebraska, Iowa blows, and Muck Fichigan. Amiright?
I think we should expect a pretty close game tonight. Wisconsin and MSU pretty much like to play the same way. Run the ball, and use play-action. Wisconsin seems to be the more dynamic offense this season, with Russell Wilson under center and the highly underrated Monte Ball at running back. Their receivers are both game breakers. They can move the ball, and did so better against MSU than any other team did all season. MSU touts the nations 3rd best defense behind those guys that will be playing in the title game. It isn’t just a product of their competition. They get after you, tackle well, and hit hard. This is a classic Big 10 match-up in the inaugural title game being played in a basketball town.
Player to watch: Jerel Worthy. He saves his best for big games in the spotlight. The junior DT is looked at as a first round pick if he declares early. He could be a top 10 pick if he finishes the season strong tonight. Wisconsin center Peter Konz is expected to be a game time decision, and if he is indeed out, that could spell trouble in the middle for the Badgers
Prediction Michigan State, of course. MSU has played their very best football when everyone has been down on them, and the majority of “experts” are taking the Badgers in the rematch tonight.
