PLAYERS: Braxton Miller
TEAMS:
Big Ten Football Week 10 Review Week 10 Record:     4-1       Record:  56-23….70.8% Michigan-35 Minneosta-13…..CORRECT…..It didn’t start off well as a few snowflakes fluttered around TCF Bank Field for surprising starting Michigan QB Devin Gardner…but as I told one Minnesota fan in the Commons Hotel on our way to the game…The Wolverine defense will win the game for Michigan…not the offense.  When the Gophers had their 1st three possessions start at midfield or better and came away with zero points…I knew Michigan was in the driver’s seat. Indiana-24  Iowa-21….CORRECT….these stats give you an idea on how bad the Hoosiers have actually been over the last few years…Saturday’s win marked the first time since 2007 that Indiana has won back-to-back Big Ten games…AND it was their 1st home Big Ten win since 2009…and I actually saw the Hoosier offense eating clock…they milked a 3 point lead for more than 9 minutes in the 4th quarter…nice job Kevin Wilson….now…the Hoosiers will play an elimination game next week at home vs Wisconsin…if the Badgers lose that one we may actually be closer to a Indiana-Northwestern Big Ten title game than you may want to believe… Nebraska-28  Michigan State-24…..MISS….Taylor Martinez…for 3 and a half quarters, on three separate occasions when you had a big pass to complete, you through an INT….and they were very bad INT’s…but when the pressure was on and Mark Dantonio again took the ball out of his best players hands (LaVeon Bell) as he was trying to eat clock…Martinez threw a perfect game-winning TD pass with 6 seconds left…it was a fantastic finish…the Spartans stunningly played their 6th straight game that was decided by 4 points or less…and their record in those games is 3-3… Ohio State-52  Illinois-22…CORRECT….Braxton Miller is going to go back to his dorm room (yeah, right) Saturday night and go down to the dining hall (which I am sure he has never been too) and eat and try to decide where he might be putting his Heisman Trophy…he ran for 73 yards and a TD while going 12 for 20 and throwing for 2 more TD’s…the Buckeyes get a laugher as they head into their bye week and wait for their trip to Madison…so that means if Indiana can somehow beat Wisconsin next week…the Badgers then get OSU….and it’s all sitting right there for the Hoosiers… Penn State-34 Purdue-9…..CORRECT….About the only thing the Nittany Lions did wrong vs Purdue was to allow their opponents points in the opening quarter for the 1st time this season…Buhbye Danny Hope…this was not a well-timed loss for the Boilermaker head coach…just days earlier the Purdue AD Morgan Burke said that he expects the Boilers to improve in November…uh…this was not an improvement…sorry Danny…I hope you had fun in the Big Ten…I don’t think Ohio State will miss you.

Buckeyes Roll to 10-0

Carmen, O-H-1-0   A season of change, of ups and downs, and a season that few would have ever imagined to overcome as much adversity as The Ohio State Buckeyes in 2012.  A questionable defense through a non-conference schedule, close scares, and a new coach that didn’t hold back when it came to telling the public what was wrong with the program.  The Buckeyes have came a...

Buckeyes take a break before 2 biggest games

Most will rest. Some will try to heal. Others will to catch up on classwork or a personal life. A bye week is a time to take a breath for the fifth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. There are also a few who will pause, knowing there are only two games left in their college careers. ''It just hit me in the locker room,'' senior defensive lineman John Simon said Saturday...

At 10-0, Ohio State preparing for the fun ones

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The offense is still too run dependent, the defense is thin and inconsistent and the level of competition thus far ranks somewhere between shaky and awful. In a strange but important development, the Ohio State Buckeyes are also the nation's only 10-0 team. And it's hard to be much better than that. The bowl-banned Buckeyes don't play again for two weeks...

Confident Roby Having Excellent Campaign

Ohio State's defense has had some excellent performers in 2012, but one who is really standing out is cornerback Bradley Roby. The sophomore has made a number of big plays for the Buckeyes, and he's not shy in his belief that he's becoming one of the best cornerbacks in the country.

Another Saturday, another loss for Illini, 52-22

Tim Beckman and the Fighting Illini know they would rather be anywhere other than winless and stuck at the bottom of the Big Ten. ''Nobody wants to be in this situation but (the seniors) are trying to do whatever they can to get out of (it),'' the first-year coach said Saturday night after a 52-22 loss to No. 6 Ohio State. As has been the case for most of the season...
