Big Ten Football Week 12 Review Week 12 Record:   3-3     Record so far:     63-27…..70.0% Michigan-42 Iowa-17…..CORRECT…..Michigan’s home winning streak now rests at 14 games until the beginning of the 2013 season when Central Michigan plays in Ann Arbor at the end of August….I don’t remember an Iowa team looking as bad as the one I just saw….even when the Wolverines were having their way with the Hawks in the late 80’s and 90’s…most of those games were close…last I checked, Iowa didn’t even ATTEMPT a pass to a WR…that was early in the 4th quarter too…I think Ferentz has next year to get things right…but after 2013…he better have his stuff together.. Northwestern-23 Michigan State-20…..MISS…..I guess Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald will not require that nice white coat after his team held onto a lead and got a W on the road…congrats to the Wildcats for hitting their 8th win of the season…MSU went winless at home in Big Ten play for the first time since 2006

No bowl for Buckeyes? This week, it's no issue

Understandably, the countdown to Saturday's Ohio State - Michigan game includes discussion of what might have been for the 11-0 but bowl-banned Buckeyes and several what-if scenarios. The Buckeyes have earned the right to be highly-regarded and highly-ranked, and to think about what might have been if not for the one-year postseason ban levied by the NCAA. This week, though,...

Many unhappy OSU can go 12-0 but still stay home

Any other year Ohio State is unbeaten and ranked No. 4 coming into its annual rivalry game with Michigan, its fans would be trolling the internet for the best airfares to the BCS title game. College Fantasy Football: Week 13 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em QBs

Start ‘Em:Braxton Miller – Ohio State vs. MichiganLast year at this time my gut had a feeling that Denard Robinson would carry his team against their hated rival, and this year my gut has a similar feeling. Miller was not spectacular last week against Wisconsin and it would be natural to be apprehensive playing him against Michigan. But my gut thinks Braxton will put the offense...

Ohio State’s One Game Season

On Saturday afternoon I drove to the barbershop to get a haircut where I was greeted by the owner who happens to be a war veteran that has more opinions than there are topics. Just my kind of place. I was sporting an Ohio State hoodie and upon sitting down, he asks me if I think the Buckeyes will beat Wisconsin this afternoon. I replied, emphatically: “I sure do. I hope that they...

Michigan Wolverines at Ohio State Buckeyes: Flawless No More?

Marvin Fong, The Plain Dealer Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook Who would have thought that the Buckeyes would be 11-0 entering their final game of the season in Urban Meyer’s first season. I had them following the same path that USC did last year which ultimately will lead to a potential No. 1 preseason ranking. Meyer is bringing in a ton of star high school...
