TCU quarterback Casey Pachall will return to action against the Texas Longhorns on Saturday after missing the past five games with a broken arm. According to a report by Stefan Stevenson of The Star-Telegram, Pachall is returning sooner than expected:
The senior has been out of a cast for a month and has been working as TCU’s scout-team quarterback in recent weeks.
His availability comes a week earlier than originally thought.
Texas coach Mack Brown stated that Pachall’s return “makes it more difficult to prepare for because you’re going to have more options.”
Pachall was expected to have a huge season for TCU before going down with the injury against Southeast Louisiana. The Horned Frogs have a great chance to hand the Longhorns their first loss in the Big 12, and getting Pachall back only helps those chances. If he can return to form rather quickly, this team could reel off several straight conference wins.
