Clemson Defensive Lineman is Coming Back for 2023 Season
USA TODAY Sports

Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro decided Friday not to turn pro and will come back to the Tigers for another season.

"I'm coming back," he posted on his social media accounts.

The Nigerian native already has his Clemson degree as a junior but chose to use another year of collegiate eligibility for 2023.

Orhorhoro produced four sacks and eight tackles for a loss in 13 games in 2022. He also broke up five passes around the line of scrimmage with his ability to time quarterbacks' throws and knock them down.

Orhorhoro started eight games and teamed with Tyler Davis and Bryan Bresee to form a talented three-man rotation in the middle. His return helps the Tigers up front. Bresee has already announced that he's turning pro.

Orhorhoro, who was invited to the Senior Bowl but won’t attend now, likely wasn’t a first-round NFL draft pick and will have a chance to greatly enhance his stock with another season in Clemson, where he will get an opportunity to become a star in 2023.

In his career, Orhorhoro has produced 67 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss and seven sacks in 30 games.
