let me start with the article:

DeSean Jackson first revealed to us on April 1 that his father, Bill, had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during the Eagles' run to the playoffs. Somehow, Jackson was able to channel his personal grief and shine in the playoffs. Against the Vikings, it was a pair of deep punt returns that helped spark the Eagles offense. In the NFC title game, Jackson's 62-yard touchdown grab briefly gave the Eagles a fourth-quarter lead. Jackson also had an amazing hustle play where he forced a fumble after a Donovan McNabb interception that allowed the Eagles to get the ball back.

On Tuesday, Jackson told the Philadelphia Inquirer that his father lost his battle on May 14.

"I'm going to be just as strong as my dad would have wanted me to be," Jackson said. "He wouldn't have wanted me to sit around and mope, tuck my head under my tail. ... It's one day at a time. I'm just trying to stay strong for my family. This is a hard period for me. But I'm hanging in there."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jackson and his family.

i just wanted to post this from the Philadelphiaeagles.com site

Death is such a hard thing to deal with and with training camp and the season approaching we wish him and his the best in dealing with the death of his father. Keep your head up DJax!!!!
