The University of Miami Athletic Department confirmed tonight that UM Safety Ray Ray Armstrong will not travel to or play against the Florida State Seminoles this Saturday in Tallahassee.
UM released this short statement on the situation:
Ray Ray Armstrong has been held out of all UM Football activities this week due to violation of team rules. He is not on the travel roster for Florida State.
UM head coach Al Golden also released a brief statement on the situation during his weekly radio show: “Ray Ray is suspended for breaking team rules and will not be with us this weekend,” said Al Golden on Hurricane Hotline tonight.
What Golden did not reveal was just how long or how significant Armstrong's suspension will be for the FSU game.
