Deion Sanders: A New Sheriff In Power 5 Football, And His Name Is Coach Prime!
 He's Winning With HBCU Talent

There's a new sheriff in Power 5 college football, and his name is Deion Sanders!   And, he defeated the TCU with HBCU football players.

Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, and Travis Hunter proved that taking their talent from an HBCU to a Power 5 program was never a problem, but only in the eyes of naysayers. Colorado destroyed the negative opinions of Coach Prime by defeating TCU 45-42.

"I'm loving these kids," Deion Sanders said about his team. "This is a blessing. Everybody, both nations who supported us, and all the hood had my back. I thank y'all. God this is good."

The Horn Frogs played in last season's national championship game compared to Jackson State playing in the Celebration Bowl, and Vegas had enormous odds against the Buffaloes.

"It's a surreal feeling," Shedeur Sanders said. "Because we knew it the whole time. I'm practicing against the best corner[back] in the world." (Referring to Travis Hunter.)

Sanders continued, " Nobody believed in his man, and it showed me a lot about how people are, and they let names, and they let Power Five and stuff get to their head. I think this is the highest passing I ever had in my life. I was just at an HBCU. They didn't believe us, but we did."

From Shedeur Sanders' 38-of-47 passes for 510 yards and four touchdowns to Travis Hunter's touchdown-saving interception at the three-yard line and Dylan Edwards' four touchdowns (3 receiving, 1 rushing), Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes are for real. Better yet, Coach Prime as a head coach is too legit for negativity. Shilo Sanders made his presence felt in the Colorado defense, recording ten tackles on the afternoon.

Sanders' win should continue the dialogue dispelling the notion that HBCU coaching and football players cannot compete at a higher level against Power 5 programs. He may no longer be in the SWAC, but the HBCU nation is rejoicing for Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Sy'veon Wilkerson following this tremendous victory.

Next week, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes will host Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 8, in Boulder, Colorado.
