Denard Robinson could do nothing but laugh at himself last week when he one-hopped a ceremonial pitch to the plate prior to the Detroit Tigers’ game with Toronto. Given a second shot to throw out a first pitch, Robinson fared much better. Before the Michigan Wolverines took down Notre Dame for their 10th consecutive win, Robinson, sporting a No. 42 jersey in honor of Jackie Robinson, found the plate from the pitcher’s mound. Video, courtesy of MLive.com: Denard Robinson’s former Michigan teammate, Elliot Mealer, was one of several members of the Wolverines football program on hand for the occasion. He tweeted out a couple quick videos via Vine, one of Robinson warming up and then another of Robinson walking to the mound and firing his pitch.

Denard Robinson redeemed himself and his terrible pitch at a Michigan Wolverines baseball game.

After a horrible first pitch last week before the Detroit Tigers-Toronto Blue Jays game that skipped before home plate and landed on the SportsCenter Not Top Ten, Denard Robinson was given a chance to redeem himself at the Michigan-Notre Dame baseball game on Tuesday. It’s too bad that this successful first pitch won’t get the same publicity that his bad one did, because this...
After throwing out the first pitch for the Tigers and spiking it into the ground, Denard Robinson had a chance to kind of redeem himself before a Michigan baseball game on Tuesday. Not donning jeans and wearing Jackie Robinson's No. 42, @DenardX made it to home plate with his throw this time ...
... at maybe 40 miles per hour. Totally redeemed himself.
