Found November 22, 2012 on Buckeye Empire:
2013 Ohio State commit Billy Price is excited to watch the Buckeyes dominate that team from up north Saturday.   You can’t check Facebook or Twitter without hearing about it, Can’t turn on the news without hearing about it, you can’t even go to the mailbox with out the dude from across the street mentioning it, but in case you have been sleeping under a rock the last few days IT IS MICHIGAN WEEK!!! While all of Buckeye Nation is counting down the minutes till Urban Meyer and the Boys take on that team from up north Saturday,  plenty of recruits are just as excited to watch the fourth ranked Buckeyes take on their rivals.  Close to 80 recruits from across the country will be in the ’Shoe  Saturday to check out “The Game”. If you are a Buckeye fan, you might be excited to see if Carlos Hyde will be the next OSU running back to burst for an untouched touchdown or if Braxton Miller will come out and tear up the UM defense like Troy Smith did.  What you might be curious in finding out is what the recruits are excited to see Saturday afternoon? I had the pleasure to ask a few recruits what they are looking forward to seeing or doing this weekend while in Columbus.   “I’m excited to see some future commits and watching Ohio State dominate all game” 2013 Ohio State Commit-DT Billy Price ” I’m excited to be a part of witnessing Ohio State end with an undefeated season” 2013 Ohio State Commit-DE Tracy Sprinkle ” I’m just excited to see a great traditional game in one of the best stadiums in the country” 2013 Ohio State Walk-on Commit-FB William Houston ” I am really excited to see how live the game is going to be and how hard and discipline OSU plays.  I’m also excited to see how Coach Meyer handles the new rivalry game he is involved in, which I’m sure he will handle just fine. I just really want to see a great game” 2014 Recruit- DB Darius West “I’m excited to meet the OSU greats and experience the rivalry and it’s intensity” 2014 Recruit- LB Tinashe Bere ” I’m definitely excited to see the atmosphere of the game because of the rivalry.  After talking with Coach Meyer and Coach Fickell this week I am really excited to meet the coaches” 2014 Recruit- LB Kyle Berger ” I’m excited to see the stadium and to watch the Buckeyes play in person.  I also look forward to meeting some of the coaches while I am there” 2014 Recruit-DT Jaleel Fields “I want to see the game atmosphere, that’s about it because I already know most of the coaches.  The most exciting part would be getting an offer from them” 2014 Recruit- RB Mikale Wilbon ” I’m Just happy to go down and see this game” 2014 Recruit- DE Lawrence Marshall “Just being a part of the wild atmosphere and being in the presence of great players and coaches” 2014 Recruit-RB Mikel Horton ” I’m excited to see all of the people at the game tailgating and inside.  Overall this is just crazy compared to all the other ones” 2014 Recruit-OT Nick Richardson     As you can tell, it does not take a rocket scientist to understand how important this game is, not just for this years team but for Buckeye recruiting for years to come.   GO BUCKS!!!!!! As always keep checking back for future updates!  Any questions??  Send them my way on Facebook or Twitter.

Ohio State: Undefeated and completely forgotten outside of Ohio

The Ohio State Buckeyes are currently 11 – 0 and ranked 4th in the only poll that will rank them, the AP poll. The Buckeyes would be serious candidates for a BCS Championship birth if they weren’t on probation, but they are. Unfortunately for Urban Meyer, this wonderful season is going by the wayside due to very little main stream media attention. The Buckeyes and Meyer would...

Understandably, the countdown to Saturday's Ohio State - Michigan game includes discussion of what might have been for the 11-0 but bowl-banned Buckeyes and several what-if scenarios. The Buckeyes have earned the right to be highly-regarded and highly-ranked, and to think about what might have been if not for the one-year postseason ban levied by the NCAA. This week, though,...

Urban Meyer wants to “beat the sh*t out of Michigan”

Urban Meyer was discussing the task of taking over the Ohio State Buckeyes after taking a year off to broadcast for ESPN. He discussed the importance of the seniors and got very emotional. He held back his emotions and then said: Let’s beat the sh*t of out Michigan! I’m sure Urban Meyer has one over the Buckeye faithful with an undefeated season but this puts the icing on the...

They were passionate enemies to be sure

Woody was the titan from the Buckeye state, and Bo a protégé working his way up the ranks, but now the two are synonymous with one of the most touted rivalries in all of football, and one that is as zealous as it is old. It started in the 1800s in a bitter dispute over the state boundary then known as the Toledo Strip. Both states claimed the territory for themselves, each sending...

Michigan Wolverines at Ohio State Buckeyes: Flawless No More?

Marvin Fong, The Plain Dealer Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook Who would have thought that the Buckeyes would be 11-0 entering their final game of the season in Urban Meyer’s first season. I had them following the same path that USC did last year which ultimately will lead to a potential No. 1 preseason ranking. Meyer is bringing in a ton of star high school...
