Former Texas A&M Star Finds a New Home In the Big 10

After 'shocking' the world by entering his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal last month, now-former Texas A&M Aggies star wide receiver Evan Stewart has committed to the Oregon Ducks, per On3.

It was a move that had been rumored for weeks following the firing of Jimbo Fisher and the change of regimes in College Station.

Among the rumored schools in contention for the now-former Aggies star are were the Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Ohio State Buckeyes, among others.

Ultimately, it was the Ducks that won out for the Stewart, however, and he will now be catching passes from former Oklahoma Sooners star quarterback, Dillon Gabriel.

He was the headline player in the Aggies' historic 2022 recruiting class, which ranked No. 1 all-time by multiple recruiting services, and picked the Aggies over Texas, Alabama, and Georgia.

Stewart has played in just eight games this season and has missed two of the last three games for the Aggies, including both of their matchups with Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

On the season Stewart has made 38 catches for 514 yards and four touchdowns - he is second on the team in all three categories.

Stewart will have two seasons of eligibility left with the Ducks.
