Former Vols OL announces transfer destination; will face Tennessee in 2024
Brianna Paciorka/News Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK

Former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Gerald Mincey has a new home after recently entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Mincey announced on Friday evening that he's transferring to Kentucky.

This will be the third program that Mincey has played for. He started his collegiate career at Florida before transferring to Tennessee.

Mincey, who played at both tackle positions for the Vols over the last two seasons, will return to Neyland Stadium next season when Kentucky takes on Tennessee. That game will take place on November 2.

The Vols are are still searching for Mincey's replacement, though there's hope that Tennessee will land a commitment from LSU transfer offensive tackle Zalance Heard.
