The Georgia Bulldogs had a fairly boring signing day on Wednesday, as the team really lacked any major late commitments for the 2013 class. Despite a lack of antics on a day that some college football fans may liken to Christmas, the Dawgs should be feeling fine about their class as a whole, as they were able to reel in a grand total of thirty-two recruits, which was tied for the fifth most in FBS football. Let’s take a quick look at the new additions to Georgia, starting with the offense: Quarterbacks – 1 Brice Ramsey, 6’3”, 197 lbs (4-Star) Fullback – 1 Brendan Douglas, 5’10”, 210 lbs (2-Star) Running Backs – 1 A.J. Turman, 6’0”, 205 lbs (4-Star) Offensive Line – 4 C – Brandon Kubalnow, 6’2”, 290 lbs (4-Star) OT – DeVondre Seymour, 6’6”, 300 lbs (3-Star) OG – Josh Cardiello, 6’3”, 285 lbs (3-Star) OT – Aulden Bynum, 6’5”, 270 lbs (3-Star) Wide Receiver/Tight End – 6 WR – Tramel Terry, 6’0”, 192 lbs (4-Star) WR – Rico Johnson, 5’10”, 165 lbs (4-Star) TE –  Jordan Davis, 6’4”, 230 lbs (3-Star) WR – Jonathon Rumph, 6’5”, 215 lbs (3-Star) WR – Reggie Davis, 6’0”, 158 lbs (3-Star) WR – Uriah LeMay, 6’2”, 200 lbs (3-Star) And now to the defense: Defensive Line – 6 DT – John Atkins, 6’4”, 300 lbs (4-Star) DE – Shaun McGee, 6’3”, 230 lbs (4-Star) DE – Reginald Carter, 6’2”, 230 lbs (3-Star) DE – David Bellamy, 6’5”, 235 lbs (3-Star) DT – DeAndre Johnson, 6’3”, 310 lbs (3-Star) DE – Chris Mayes, 6’4”, 330 lbs (3-Star) Linebacker – 4 OLB – Leonard Floyd, 6’5”, 240 lbs (4-Star) ILB – Tim Kimbrough, 5’11”, 228 lbs (4-Star) ILB – Ryan Rankin, 6’1”, 230 lbs (4-Star) ILB – Johnny O’Neal, 6’1”, 233 lbs (3-Star) Defensive Back – 9 S – Tray Matthews, 6’1”, 192 lbs (4-Star) CB – Brendan Langley, 6’1”, 180 lbs (4-Star) CB – Shaq Wiggins, 5’9”, 160 lbs (4-Star) S – Shaquille Fluker, 6’1”, 200 lbs (4-Star) CB – Reggie Wilkerson, 5’11”, 175 lbs (4-Star) CB – J.J. Green, 5’9”, 175 lbs (3-Star) S – Paris Bostick, 6’0”, 217 lbs (3-Star) CB – Kennar Johnson, 6’2”, 185 lbs (3-Star) S – Quincy Mauger, 6’0”, 195 lbs (3-Star) *Ratings According to 24/7 Sports Overall, I believe the Bulldogs did an excellent job in compiling this class, as they added a significant amount of depth at nearly every position in which it was needed. Georgia has also benefited from having a class with a significant portion that was ready to hit to college, as thirteen of these players are already enrolled at UGA. If I was to pick five of these thirty-two players to suggest everyone to keep an eye on, it would be Ramsey, Seymour, Atkins, Matthews, Wiggins. While all five of these players probably will not have very much playing time when September rolls around, it appears to be a safe bet that they will be integral pieces of the Georgia Bulldogs in the very near future. If I had to grade this class, I would give it a B+. This class may not wow fans across the country, but it has done the job of adding a ton of high school talent and college potential to the team. Now it is up to these thirty-two young men to turn that potential into something great.
