PLAYERS: Alec Ogletree
TEAMS:
Georgia Bulldogs LB Alec Ogletree had a vicious tackle of Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets WR Robert Godhigh during Saturday's college football game in Athens that turned out to be more of a combination body slam and pile driver. It happened in the second quarter as Godhigh caught a 4-yard pass, and probably wished he hadn't after Ogletree picked him up and slammed him down to the ground on his head. The play pretty much sums up Georgia's domination of their rivals in the 42-10 victory. Video via ESPN. H/T Off the Bench. Georgia’s Alec Ogletree bodyslams Georgia Tech WR Robert Godhigh (Video)

Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree is one of the Bulldogs’ better tacklers, and he proved that with his WWE-style takedown of Georgia Tech wide receiver Robert Godhigh on Saturday. The expression “tossed like a rag doll” is one of the most overused in football, but Ogletree did just that with Godhigh after the receiver caught a pass over the middle with less than two minutes...

Georgia Football: Bacarri Rambo on 2011 Versus 2012 SEC Championship Run, ‘…this year we’re gonna play for 60 minutes’

A lot will be made of Rambo’s statement that Georgia is “more talented than Alabama”…however, if you listen to the whole interview, Rambo is hardly dissing the Tide. Either way, it makes for good media fodder, I guess. But you can guarantee there won’t be too many more interviews granted after this one. Either way, give it a quick listen.

Georgia has the look of BCS title contender

ATHENS, Ga. The final result was the only thing not obvious from the beginning. It took No. 3 Georgia four plays and 63 seconds to score the first of its seven touchdowns and that initial drive was all it took to tell the difference between the Bulldogs and their state rivals. Georgia is bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic and better coached than Georgia Tech, and that was...

Richt On Record For SEC Title Game

Georgia Football Coach Mark Richt was asked to look back on some games – games the Bulldogs lost – in his press briefing Sunday to talk about the upcoming Southeastern Conference Championship Game.

Murray imposes media blackout heading into SEC

With Georgia one win away from playing for a national championship, quarterback Aaron Murray has suddenly imposed a media blackout. The school says Murray met with coach Mark Richt and got permission to be relieved from his media responsibilities leading up to the Southeastern Conference championship game between the third-ranked Bulldogs and No. 2 Alabama. The winner will advance...

Bulldogs roll past Georgia Tech

Aaron Murray threw two touchdown passes, Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall each ran for a pair of TDs, and No. 3 Georgia stayed right in the thick of the national championship race with a 42-10 rout of Georgia Tech on Saturday. The Bulldogs (11-1) extended the domination of the Yellow Jackets, beating their state rival for the 11th time in 12 meetings. This one was a laugher from the...

SEC Quick Hits: Week 13

Georgia 42, Georgia Tech 10 Title game time: Despite the lopsided score and difference in their records, Georgia (11-1) and Georgia Tech (6-6) are both headed to their conference championship games. The Bulldogs won their way into the SECs big game, but the Yellow Jackets will be playing Florida State for the ACC title because Miami pulled itself from the postseason play. Oh no...
