Georgia reportedly 'in contact' with Penn State transfer WR
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Penn State's top receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith entered the transfer portal on Monday and the Georgia Bulldogs have shown interest.

According to On3 Sports, Georgia is one of five teams that have been in contact with Lambert-Smith.

Auburn, Texas A&M, Colorado and West Virginia are the other teams that have reached out to the fifth-year receiver

Last fall, Lambert-Smith led all pass-catchers at Penn State with his 53 receptions for 673 yards and four touchdowns. He was also the only wideout on the team who logged over 250 yards.

Georgia already has a stacked receiver room led by Dominic Lovett, RaRa Thomas, and Dillion Bell. They also recently added transfer Colbie Young, who has been a standout player this spring.

Head coach Kirby Smart even admitted at G-Day that Georgia's wide receiver room is the best group behind the offensive line.

"I think all across the board, our wideouts may be our best leadership group. O-line maybe and then receiver," Smart said following G-day. "They have some really good core leaders.

But that doesn't mean Smart is going to ignore the best receiver that's currently available in the transfer portal and another potential weapon for quarterback Carson Beck.

We'll see what happens.
