Georgia's mascot Uga will not be making trip to national championship game

When the Georgia Bulldogs go for their second straight national championship on Monday night against TCU, they will have to do so without the support of their lovable mascot, Uga.

According to Adam Murphy, an investigative reporter in Atlanta, the cross-country trip to SoFI Stadium in Los Angeles is too long of a flight for the nine year old english bulldog. The family that breeds the dogs that go on to become the school's mascots will not be allowing him to make the trip.

That, of course, is a massive disappointment for dog lovers that like seeing Uga roaming the sidelines.

Uga was in attendance for Georgia's thrilling semifinal win against Ohio State on New Year's Eve at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, but will now be cheering from a distance as the Bulldogs look to repeat as national champions.

If they are going to do so, they will have to beat a cinderella TCU team that was 5-7 a year ago and is coming off of a semifinal win over No. 2 ranked Michigan.
