Gerald Mincey throws shade at former Vols teammate

Gerald Mincey just can't help himself.

It seems like nearly every day the former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman, who played at UT from 2022 to 2023 after starting his college career at Florida, is finding a way to anger Vol nation.

Mincey, who transferred to Kentucky last month, has been mixing it up with Vols fans over the last few weeks on social media.

On Wednesday, Mincey spoke to reporters in Kentucky and he pointed out that he and the Wildcats plan to "bust them (Tennessee) in the mouth" in Neyland this fall.

If that line wasn't enough to fire up the players in Tennessee's locker room, then maybe his social media post on Thursday will do the trick.

Mincey posted a clip on his Instagram story of a play from last year's Tennessee/Alabama game where Vols left tackle John Campbell gave up a strip sack fumble that helped put the game away for the Crimson Tide.

Those are some strong words coming from a player who transferred to a program that has only four wins in the last 40 years against Tennessee.

Mincey will go toe to toe with Vols superstar edge rusher James Pearce next fall. And Pearce will have plenty of motivation to have a big game against his former teammate.
