The San Francisco Giants is the new home for Randy "Big Unit" Johnson. After coming back from numerous surgeries and limitations, Johnson is ready and more focused on doing what he does best: striking out batters with his lightning fast pitches. The 45-year old Johnson and the Giants have agreed to a 1-year, $8 million contract.

Johnson can earn an additional $5 million in performance bonuses. Last season, Johnson went 11-10 with a 3.91 ERA. He made $16 million last season.

Randy Johnson truly lives up to the name of the Giants. He is colossal at 6?10? and has one of the fastest pitches in the game. The Diamondbacks and the Oakland A's were two other teams interested in signing Johnson up. No word yet if next season will be Johnson's last; he has not specified.
