The pre-game moment of silence with both teams at midfield was a nice touch and emotional.
So, it's still difficult to talk football, but, with Nebraska leading 10-0, here goes:
-- Silas Redd could be hurt. Big trouble, although Brandon Beachum looks faster than usual.
-- Nebraska has two weapons on offense, Rex Burkhead, who sheds defenders and moves the pile, and QB Taylor Martinez, who can create with his legs in the pocket, which buys time for his receivers to break open.
-- Well, Nebraska has another weapon on offense in field goak kicker Brett Maher.
-- Nebraska doing a nice job of mixing the run and pass. Am frankly surprised with the emphasis on pass but perhaps it's out of necessity after Penn State's D-tackles made several early big plays.
-- Penn State's Anthony Fera has had two very bad punts and missed a 47-yard field goal. The punts are particularly problematic because you cannot give up big chunks of yards on special teams to a power such as Nebraska...
