Pros

  • Man Coverage
Can mirror and match from the slot against WRs and tight ends
  • Length
Can mitigate natural zone voids by playing two areas in one via his height and lanky limbs
  • Route Recognition
Savy player that can dictate his leverage based on WR alignment and adjust based on releases

Cons

  • Handsy
Tends to get grabby at the tip of the route. Needs to clean that up at the next level
  • Tackling
Habitually takes poor launch angles and often throws an arm or shoulder vs wrapping up and making fundamentally sound plays
  • Physicality
Can be knocked off his spot by bigger pass catchers and bullied when blockers climb to his level of the defense

Eval:

Oladapo is a hybrid DB with traditional safety measurables but plays the slot like a nickel back with excellent man coverage against fairly significant college competition.

Teams will want him to clean up his tackling technique but given his obvious frame that concern is minimal beyond technical flaws.

Floor Comp: Malik Hooker

Big safety who can play in Multiple alignments but lacks turnover ability.

Ceiling Comp: Taller Damontae Kazee

Versatile DB that will fly around and make plays on a whim.
