IU hits the road in week two heading to Foxboro to take on the University of Massachusetts. The Hoosiers look to build on a 1-0 record after a narrow win against Indiana State.

This is Massachusetts first year in FBS and the MAC. This is the first of IU's two MAC opponents, the second coming the following week against Ball State. The Minutemen will be playing all of their home games in Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots, which is about 90 miles from their home in Amherst.

UMass has a new head coach in Charley Molnar. Molnar is an offensive expert with 29 years of coaching experience from Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and Central Michigan.

UMass lost 37-0 to Connecticut last week. The Minutemen managed just 59-yards on offense and gave up 372-yards on defense. UMass managed three takeaways, but were unable to do anything with the ball. UConn dominated time of possession, holding onto the ball for over 36 minutes.

A win here will double the total from last season. IU should have no trouble handling the Minutemen and should leave with a relatively easy win. Tre Roberson should be able to build on last week's exceptional play with wideout Kofi Hughes returning from suspension.

Defensively, IU shouldn't have as much trouble with UMass on the ground as they did against Indiana State and Shakir Bell. The Minutemen only managed three yards on 24 carries. That is just…ugh. IU should hold UMass to around 150 yards of total offense. This probably won't be a shut out, but it should be a blowout.
