Joe Paterno tribute songs have begun to proliferate, but this one by a former member of the Bill Haley and the Comets (“Rock around the clock,” the “Happy Days” theme song) is the best! Or the worst! Depending on your opinion of Joe Paterno, Penn State football and the whole disgusting Jerry Sandusky episode.
The music itself, Joey Welz, “The Boogie Woogie King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” , is pretty synthesizer bad, and the lyrics are so littered with PSU and Pennsylvania talking points that the song is one big exercise in unintentional comedy.
