We’ve all been waiting for a new star to emerge in college football and it appears that new Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton is our answer… Well at least for now. After QB Braxton Miller, was sidelined again this week (with an ankle injury), the Buckeyes continued to not miss a beat without him; and today Guiton, proved once again that he is possibly even better than the former Heisman candidate— whose season thus far has been a disappointment.  In a rout victory over Florida A&M the 6-3, 220 pound redshirt senior and former backup broke the Ohio State single game touchdown record as he went 24/34 for 215 YDS, 6 TDs and 1 INT. Next week the Buckeyes face Big 10 opponent Wisconsin at home. According to the Lantern: The record was previously held by Bobby Hoying, who completed five touchdown passes in a game against Pittsburgh in 1995 and Purdue in 1994, and John Borton, who threw five touchdown passes against Washington State in 1952. Ohio State's Kenny Guiton Sets New School Record for Touchdowns in a Single Game

For fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team it was a great afternoon Saturday. Not only did their team notch another win to remain undefeated, but it also kept the franchise QB safe (Braxton Miller) by giving him another week to rest his sprained knee and got further proof that the heir apparent is going to be pretty darn good. How do we know that? Does the fact that he...

Photo: Ohio State’s Block “O” Sends Out Letter Addressing Offensive Chant, Some Students Aren’t Happy

On Monday, we wrote about a petition that was started by a number of students at Ohio State. The petition called for the removal of a traditional kickoff chant that has picked up steam in recent years. The chant went like this: “O-H-I-O! Rip his f#*!ing head off!” This chant can be heard both inside the stadium and on TV. As mentioned before, not all students participate in...

Nothing to see here: Why the Buckeyes must stick with Braxton Miller

Kenny Guiton is the truth. If the video above (fast forward to the 2:50 mark if you wish) did not do the trick, I told you last week, and then he went out and made me look prescient against Cal. Last Saturday in Berkeley, Buckeyes fans witnessed a coming out party. Guiton had proven himself in relief many times before—in crunch time against Purdue last season, this year against...

OSU QB Braxton Miller Expected to Start Saturday vs Wisconsin

Ohio State Heisman hopeful Braxton Miller has been sitting out the last few weeks with a knee injury. Kenny Guiton has filled in well with 12 TD passes over 3 games which is a Buckeyes record. However, if the Buckeyes really want to make a national championship run, they will need a full strength Braxton Miller. Ohio State QB Braxton Miller has been cleared to return. He is expected...
