PLAYERS: Les Miles
TEAMS:

Les Miles, better known as the Mad Hatter, is up to his usual stuff again. His trademark is eating grass, but now he’s quoting Will Ferrell movies. While “Thunder and Lightning” is not an actual quote from the movie, his facial expressions and mini dance he does while saying it, makes this video not only a must watch, but gives him a pass on not knowing the name of the movie.

College Football would benefit from more coaches like Les.

Les Miles Asked About Washington's Preparation Tactics

In obsessively detailed preparation for his team's visit to Baton Rouge, yesterday, Washington coach Steve Sarkisian placed a live tiger next to the practice gate to simulate what it will be like for his players when they walk out of the visitor's tunnel onto the field on Saturday night.  This action assumes that Mike the Tiger, a live 500-pound tiger, willingly gets in...

Matheiu enrolls at LSU, Miles' focus elsewhere

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Former LSU star cornerback Tyrann Mathieu has enrolled at LSU for the fall semester, even though he cannot play for the Tigers this season and will be eligible for the 2013 NFL draft. LSU coach Les Miles has declined to say whether Mathieu has any future with the Tigers. He says he's focused on Washington's visit this Saturday night. Speaking at...

Mathieu enrolls at LSU; Miles is mum

Tyrann Mathieu has opened a new chapter at LSU. Whether the 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist known as the Honey Badger ever plays football for the Tigers again remains to be seen. As Mathieu was enrolling in school for the fall semester on Tuesday, LSU coach Les Miles was maintaining his stance that the time is not right to speculate on the former star cornerback's future with...

Tyrann Mathieu headed back to LSU

According to the Honey Badger's father, the All-American defensive back will re-enroll at LSU this week in hopes of rejoining the team next season.

Dominant LSU seeks improvement

LSU allowed the fewest yards of any SEC team last weekend even without getting much from heralded defensive end Sam Montgomery. Montgomery figures to be more involved Saturday night when the third-ranked Tigers host a Washington team with a banged-up offensive line. LSU improved to 28-0 in non-conference games under coach Les Miles with last Saturday's 41-14 home victory over...

Washington Huskies preparing for LSU with actual Tiger

The LSU Tigers have a tradition of putting their live Tiger mascot right next to the tunnel that visiting teams run onto the field through. This weekend LSU faces the visiting Washington Huskies in Death Valley. Generally the stadiums in the SEC can be pretty intimidating places for first time visiting players and LSU’s Death Valley is no exception. Washington is prepared though...

Dad: Honey Badger to enroll at LSU

Tyrann Mathieu's adoptive father says the former LSU star plans to enroll in classes at LSU, even though he cannot play football there this season. Tyrone Mathieu tells WVUE-TV in New Orleans that his son plans to enroll at the Baton Rouge campus Tuesday, the deadline for the fall semester. The football star known as the Honey Badger has been working out personal problems with...

Tyrann Mathieu makes the right decision by giving up football and returning to LSU

Late last week, Allen Pinkett, a former Notre Dame running back and current radio broadcaster for the Irish made headlines, when he made some of the most asinine, ill-informed and not well thought out comments you’ll ever hear a public figure make. It was in regards to the state of Notre Dame football, and the types of players the school should be recruiting. And it practically...

North Texas Slant Routes

LSU rolled to a relatively easy and mostly uninspiring 41-14 win over North Texas on Saturday night.  Watching the game in Tiger Stadium, I was aggravated for most of the game.   I felt that the team played sloppy and lacked emotion.   However, a look at the stat sheet shows a pretty dominating performance, especially on the ground.    Here are some observations:Even though...

FSNextTV: Lawson talks season opener

Tevin Lawson was one of the first in state prospects to pick up an offer from LSU. Earlier this year, Lawson elected to take the Tigers up on their offer. The Denham Springs standout reports that he is still excited about a future in Baton Rouge, but one SEC western division school is still trying hard to sway him away from Coach Les Miles and his staff.
