Crystal Ball Run:
Despite a big win Saturday against South Carolina, many still perceive LSU’s 2012 football season as a bit of a disappointment so far. The Tigers entered the year as a National Championship favorite, but with one loss already under their belts, it’s safe to assume that the Tigers have to win out to play themselves back into the BCS discussion. And even then it might not be enough to get them to Miami. Unfortunately for LSU fans and their football program, the problems on the field might quickly be dwarfed by some looming dark clouds off of it. That’s because on Tuesday morning Sports Illustrated released a report indicating that former superstar Tyrann Mathieu (who was suspended for the 2012 season) may have broken NCAA rules in using his likeness to help promote a few nightclub events. Sports Illustrated is reporting that former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu might have violated NCAA rules by promoting a night club while he was still a member of the team.
The magazine reports Mathieu appeared in a video made by a group of his friends that goes by the name Era Nation in which he promotes a party at a Baton Rouge club called The Palace on March 10 of this year.
Never let is be said that LSU head football coach is a man for subtlety. While some coaches' offices quietly speaks of their owner's position, Miles' office screams "I'm the coach of the freakin' LSU Tigers" with these tiger-print chairs. Not every college football coach could get away with an office that looks like of came out of Elvis' Jungle...

There might not be a better matchup of great offense vs. great defense this entire college football season than what we’ll get Saturday, when the LSU Tigers travel to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. The Tigers enter Kyle Field with the nation’s No. 2 scoring defense, and will have...
It appears more controversy is surrounding exiled LSU football player Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu.
Sports Illustrated reporter Pete Thamel filed a report that was published on SI.com Tuesday afternoon. In that story, Thamel and reporter Thayer Evans documented what they claim is an NCAA violation that would make Mathieu ineligible.
Yesterday, Crystal Ball Run told you about a newly released Sports Illustrated article which, put simply, implied that former LSU All-American cornerback Tyrann Mathieu and his friends from high school used Mathieu’s likeness to promote parties at clubs and other events. If the report is found to be true, it could put Mathieu’s future eligibility at the school in jeopardy (he’s...
