One of the most underrated names in college football very well may reside in Baton Rouge. Offensive line coach Brad Davis has been on a tear of late, and most recently helped to make LSU football a top-10 school for three-star class of 2025 offensive lineman Jacobe Ward.

Class of 2025 offensive lineman Jacobe Ward names LSU football recruiting in his top-10

Without an offensive line, it’s hard to make just about anything happen on the offensive side of the ball. In fact, if you look at the most recent national championship, it featured Washington, the winner of the 2023 Joe Moore Award for best offensive line in the country, and Michigan, who’d won the award each of the previous two seasons.

College football is becoming more and more physical by the year, and lucky for Tiger fans, coach Brian Kelly has just about always built his teams on that exact mentality.

While the team hasn’t exactly dominated in the trenches over the last two seasons, they’re certainly building up to get to that point in the near future. In the class of 2024, the purple and gold are set to bring in six offensive linemen, with two already committed in the 2025 cycle.

Now, it appears that they could be trending for yet another big-time recruit, as three-star class of 2025 offensive lineman Jacobe Ward named LSU to his top-10 list of schools.

A recruit out of Savannah, GA, Ward doesn’t rank quite as highly as the rest of the Tiger class of 2025, but it’s not hard to see the potential. As things stand, the 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman ranks as the No. 515 player nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, as well as No. 40 among inside offensive linemen.

Along with coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers, he included Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF and West Virginia in his top-10.
