Marcus Wasilewski threw a game-winning 24-yard touchdown to John Ebeling as Maine held off a surging Stony Brook 19-14 on Saturday. Wasilewski injured his leg in the fourth quarter but returned to lead the game-winning drive, connecting on 5 of 6 passes with the last two covering 56 yards to Ebeling. Wasilewski was 15 of 24 for 188 yards. With the win, the Black Bears (8-1, 5-0 Colonial Athletic Association) go to 8-1 for the first time since 2002 and remain the only unbeaten team in conference play. The Maine defense held Stony Brook in check throughout the first half, limiting the Seawolves (3-5, 1-4) to 60 total yards and only 14 yards rushing on 17 attempts. Stony Brook turned it around in the second half, with two touchdown-scoring drives accomplished mostly by running straight ahead through the Black Bears defensive front. James Kenner finished with 124 yards and a touchdown.
