On3's Jesse Simonton recently released a list of Spring games that will be played this weekend, as well as which ones will be the best to keep an eye on. In that list, Simonton included the upcoming Tennessee Orange and White game as a scrimmage to watch closely.

The Vols, who recently experienced a surge in season ticket sales, perhaps in part due to the hype leading up to the game, will get to test a lot of things out and try to get closer to some answers in Neyland Stadium on Saturday.

Simonton mainly points to the first action we will see in front of a live college audience for freshman phenom quarterback Nico Iamaleava. With Joe Milton III gunning to start after sitting behind first-round hopeful Hendon Hooker, Iamaleava will put his best foot forward in front of Rocky Top's finest.

Iamaleava is one of two five star freshman quarterbacks that will take center stage this weekend, as Arch Manning will see his first action on Saturday at the University of Texas. Simonton mentions that while neither Freshman is likely to start come September, with Quinn Ewers ahead of Manning and Milton ahead of Nico, both have likely warranted at least a little bit of playing time this season.

There are other holes to fill on the roster, such as the secondary and the No. 1 receiver role that Jalin Hyatt previously filled. With younger guys like Squirrel White and transfers like former BYU Cornerback Gabe Jeudy-Lally, the competition will be electric in the team's third and final Spring scrimmage in Neyland, this time complete with screaming Volunteer fans. One thing's for certain, Knoxville will be rocking on Saturday as the anticipation builds for the 2023 season.
