The Michigan Wolverines have received a verbal commitment from 4-star WR Amara Darboh out of Des Moines, Iowa. Darboh has been clocked at 4.42 in the 40 yard dash. Here is an excerpt of his scouting report on ESPNU

Darboh is a combination of strength and quickness as a big receiver with a sturdy build, long arms and nice height. He is part playmaker and part possession player… At the next level Darboh will be at his best working against zone and soft-man coverage. Is adept at finding soft spots in zone and creating passing windows for his quarterback when working out of the slot. Not afraid to go over the middle and will make the tough catch in traffic. Shows good leaping ability and can catch the ball thrown over his head. Tracks the ball well, and does an excellent job of adjusting to the poorly thrown ball or ball thrown to his opposite shoulder on down field throws along the sideline.

Darboh becomes the 24th member of Michigan’s 2012 recruiting class. He choose the Wolverines over offers from Florida, Notre Dame, Iowa, and Wisconsin. A shoulder injury cut short his senior season at Dowling High School. He still managed to haul in 48 passes for 765 yards and 11 TDs in the 7 games before he separated his shoulder.
