The University of Michigan on Wednesday announced that the Wolverine football team’s home game scheduled for September 7th, 2013 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in The Big House in Ann Arbor will be played, once again, at night under the lights. This will be the second such game played at night in Ann Arbor since the lights were competed and installed prior to the same two teams meeting in 2011. It is said by many who were in attendance for that game on September 10th, 2011 that the Michigan victory was one of the Wolverines’ greatest ever and that the game was the most exciting ever played in The Big House. In the contest, the Wolverines trailed Notre Dame 24-7 entering the 4th quarter and at the time there were little signs that Michigan was going to win the game. But, after a 28-point outburst in the 4th and some stellar final drive defense against the Irish, Michigan prevailed 35-31. It was a most incredible scene to be sure.
