The Head Coach Search is heating up....rumors are starting to hitting full stream...

Here is the latest update on the Husky Head Coach Search. The ranking of each coaching candidate is reflective of my opinion of who is most likely to be hired. Past Updates: [1] [2] [3]

Top 8 Candidates
  1. Jim Mora Jr. (Seahawks Head Coach- To Be)-Has jumped to the top. We reported his rumored announcement to be UW head coach on Monday. I am starting to get a little more confident that this will happen today or within the next couple weeks. But again, you never know, Mora can come out tommrrow will a flat-out rejection of the UW job. We'll see.
  2. Pat Hill (Fresno State Head Coach)-Interviewed with UW last Saturday. Has told the media that the interview went "good".
  3. Kyle Whittingham (Utah Head Coach)- Interviewed last Saturday. Utah is working hard to retain him.
  4. Chris Peterson (Boise State Head Coach)- View our reasoning here. Now that the Oregon job is filled, will Peterson start seriously considering UW?
  5. Mike Leach (Texas Tech Head Coach)-Has interviewed, but Texas Tech Atheltic director is ready to give him a contract extension and a raise.
  6. Jeff Tedford (California Head Coach)- Rumored to have turned down an interview with UW.
  7. Michael Haywood (Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator)-Will head coach Charlie Weis be returning to Notre Dame next season? Will Haywood hold out an opportunity at UW in order to get a shot at the ND job?
  8. Steve Sarkisian (USC Offensive Coordinator)-reportedly has interviewed with UW
