Manti Te’o may have made his life slightly easier if he got off Twitter a long time ago, but his account remained active through Super Bowl Sunday. According to ESPN.com, Te’o has decided to quit tweeting for an unknown period of time while he prepares himself for the NFL Draft, which will take place from April 25-27. Te’o's decision to quit Twitter was somewhat abrupt. During Super Bowl XLVII between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, he was one of a number of athletes and celebrities who seemed to highly approve of Beyonce’s halftime performance. As we showed you on Sunday night, Beyonce’s act was a huge hit with a number of big names on Twitter. The former Notre Dame linebacker was one of them, but his account was gone by the time the game ended on a controversial no-call in the end zone. Considering the unbelievable turn of events that has taken place in Te’o's life over the past month, the last thing he needs is any additional distractions as he attempts to improve his draft stock before April. Staying away from social media until he finds a home in the NFL is probably a good idea. The post Manti Te’o tweeted during the Super Bowl, then quit Twitter until after NFL Draft appeared first on Larry Brown Sports. Harbaugh turned down Michigan money in 2011

Whether Jim Harbaugh is actually interested in the Michigan job or not, it would simply be bad business for him to come out and say he will not be the next head coach of the Wolverines. If nothing else, Harbaugh can use Michigan’s desperation as leverage. There have already been reports that Harbaugh wants to...Read More

Saints pose legitimate threat to any playoff team

Does the NFC South deserve to have a team in the playoffs?  I may be in the minority (Brady Quinn agrees with me http://www.footballbyfootball.com/column/nfc-south-is-rising-no-playoff-change-needed), but I believe it does.  Every team sets goals during training camp and one of those goals is to win the division. Therefore, a division title has to mean something.  It means you’ve...

Matt Kemp reportedly has arthritis in both hips

So, that huge Matt Kemp trade between the Dodgers and Padres? Yeah…it might not happen. The typically symbolic physical may actually present a huge problem for the Padres, because it’s revealed that Kemp has arthritis in both of his hips. The holdup in Matt Kemp trade is because the physical revealed arthritis in both hips. The #Padres continue to consult medical experts...

Danny Ainge: Celtics 'having a lot of discussions' about trades

If you expected Danny Ainge to address the Rajon Rondo trade rumors directly in his Thursday radio appearance, well, you should have known better. The Boston Celtics president of basketball operations did not comment on recent reports that the Dallas Mavericks are making a hard push for his star point guard, but he did note that the Celtics — like most NBA teams around this...

Eagles fan posts on Craigslist seeking help for team

It’s certainly not the first time it a disgruntled fan has played the wisenheimer and posted a snarky submission on Craigslist as a means to rip their favorite team, but a Philadelphia Eagles fan’s Craigslist posting seeking a new quarterback and secondary help clearly is one of the better listings of its ilk. The ad,...Read More The post Eagles fan posts ad on Craigslist seeking...

Michael Vick has almost paid off all his massive debt

New York Jets quarterback has almost crawled his way completely out of financial trouble — something that seemed nearly impossible when he filed for bankruptcy in 2008. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Vick is “weeks away” from getting out from under what was once an $18 million debt. At one point, Vick owed $6.5 million...Read More

Russell Wilson changes agents ahead of big payday

Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson is preparing himself for what promises to be a huge payday that’s expected to come following the season. Dolphins CB: Brady needs to 'wake up' about playing into 40s

This embed is invalid   " /> Cortland Finnegan comes bearing coffee.   Finnegan is aware that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady wants to play into his 40s. The Miami Dolphins cornerback just doesn’t think such a scenario is plausible. “He’s asleep,” Finnegan recently told The Palm Beach Post. “Tell him to wake up from whatever...

Bears to bench Jay Cutler, start Jimmy Clausen

Some pretty surprising news coming out of Chicago on Wednesday evening. According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears are planning to start Jimmy Clausen at quarterback against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.  This means that the ultra enigmatic Jay Cutler will be warming the bench after struggling throughout the vast majority of the 2014 campaign. It also leads us to...

Wes Welker once pulled funny UGG prank on Tom Brady

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady may be all business on the field, but he still likes to have his fun off the field from time to time when he can. He’s taken to social media in the past to cleverly troll other players on Facebook. Well, (former Patriots wide receiver) Wes Welker has some tricks up his sleeve, too. He once made 11 references to feet in a press conference...
