The Bulldogs finished co-champions of the league with a 7-1 conference record. The Bulldogs put up big numbers all season long (including a 69-14 win against Colorado), but saw themselves outgunned by SMU in the Hawaii Bowl during a 43-10 defeat. Senior quarterback Derek Carr returns after putting up amazing numbers on his way to being named MWC Offensive Player of the Year.
