North Dakota State Officially Names Tim Polasek As Next Head Football Coach
USA TODAY Sports

North Dakota State officially announced Tim Polasek as the 32nd head football coach in school history. Polasek most recently served as the offensive coordinator at Wyoming under former North Dakota State head coach Craig Bohl.

"I am absolutely ecstatic to be back home at North Dakota State," Polasek said in a statement released by the university. "It means so much to return to such a special place that has been incredibly formative professionally and personally. I am deeply honored to be able to give back to Fargo, the region, and Bison football."

Polasek served as the offensive coordinator and running backs coach at North Dakota State from 2014-16. He was also an assistant coach under Bohl from 2006-12 at North Dakota State. He won four FCS National Championships over his 10 seasons with the Bison.

After his stint with the Bison, Polasek spent four seasons (2017-20) at Iowa as the offensive line coach and three seasons (2021-23) as the offensive coordinator at Wyoming.

Polasek played quarterback at Concordia and was named the Badger-Ilini Conference Player of the Year. He set the school records for career passing yards and passing touchdowns. He was also inducted into the Concordia University Athletic Hall of Fame.
