On this week's Down the Line on TNNDN Network we were joined by ESPN Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg & former Notre Dame quarterback Evan Sharpley. With ND set to face three consecutive opponents, Rittenberg offered some insight into the upcoming three game stretch in the conference everyone who knows nothing about Notre Dame thinks they should join. Evan had some strong words about Tommy when interviewed back in June and he liked most of what he saw from the senior against Temple. I also questioned how he'd counter what the Irish defense did if he was an opposing quarterback and Sharpley got into some of the X's & O's related to what he saw the defense working with to slow down the Owls. Mark May and Skip Bayless embarrass themselves discussing Notre Dame-Michigan

Both Mark May and Skip Bayless should have known better, but that made some serious errors on TV when they said they watched Notre Dame-Michigan games while growing up. Michigan and Notre Dame didn’t play between 1943 and 1978, which is a problem for May and Bayless because May was born in 1959 and Bayless was born in 1951.  Perhaps it would be best not to lie on television. Mark...

Notre Dame Revives Tradition Of ‘Trick Shot Monday’

Don’t be surprised if you have never heard of Notre Dame’s tradition of trick shot Monday, it took me some research to find out that it was actually a tradition. We can all agree that it probably won’t be as longstanding as slapping the “Play Like a Champion” sign, but we can still enjoy it while it lasts. [NBC] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Notre Dame vs. Michigan football preview: Five things to watch for in the Big House

When the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take the field against Michigan in the Wolverines' Big House, we'll be watching these five potentially game-altering factors.

Mark May Was Weaned on Imaginary Notre Dame-Michigan Games

Brian Kelly started a minor ********* in Ann Arbor this week when he said the Michigan game wasn't a real Notre Dame rivalry, but Mark May was ready to set the record straight during last night's Florida State-Pitt halftime show by declaring how important it was to him. May took a break from yelling at Johnny Manziel to say, "I can't have much doubt. I think it&...

Notre Dame's Trick Shot Monday is Back!

More and more each season we see how college football is becoming big business with millions of dollars on the line with every game. One loss can mean millions won by heading to a big bowl game or just thousands for one of the lower ties games. Which makes it even better when  you see things that show us that at least the kids still realize they are playing a game that is supposed...

Brian Kelly: Michigan not a historic rival for Notre Dame

Notre Dame and Michigan play on Saturday night at the Big House for what will be one of the more anticipated games of the weekend. Unfortunately, the series between the two historic programs ends after next season. Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly doesn’t see the lack of games between the two schools as much of […]

Video: Mark May grew up watching Notre Dame and Michigan play? That’s impossible

ESPN's Mark May said he grew up watching the Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry game, but that is factually impossible for him to have done.

Brian Kelly – Michigan not “historic” rival

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly made some pretty big news yesterday when asked about the cancelling of the series with University of Michigan. Kelly said that the rivalry is really not much of a rivalry, shocking news to me. Instead Kelly called it more of a regional rivalry, even more shocking. I’m not a huge college football fan but I have to say that’s one of the games...

Jon Bon Jovi's son makes Fighting Irish football team

Notre Dame football has always mined the state of New Jersey for its blue-chip players but now the Fighting Irish will have a little Garden State blue-blood — via Brooklyn — under The Dome. Jesse Bongiovi — son of Jon Bon Jovi, the famed Jersey rocker behind the anthem "Livin’ On a Prayer" — has earned a spot on the roster of Notre Dame’s football team as...

Rapid Reaction: Notre Dame 28, Temple 6

Boy the 2013 expectations escalated quickly! Temple did what they had to do upon finding themselves in the middle of a vicious cockfight - they kept their heads on a swivel. Safe to say we expected Notre Dame and Tommy Rees to ease into the season opener, pound the ball at the overmatched Temple front, and ultimately pull away gradually while the defense dominated a 4-7 team with...

Geben sees Notre Dame, has decision on deck

After his first official visit to Notre Dame last weekend, could Notre Dame pick up its first commitment in the 2014 class from Lithuanian native power forward Martin Geben?

It's Michigan Week

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly toed the company line Sunday, downplaying his program's rivalry with Michigan. But no amount of coach speak (or ACC-fueled appeasement) can lessen what the Irish and Wolverines have meant to college football in September over the last 35 years.

Kelly: Michigan game a great rivalry

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly has changed his stance two days after saying he didn't consider Michigan ''one of those historic, traditional Notre Dame rivalries.''
