Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has refused for weeks to even discuss quarterback Braxton Miller's Heisman Trophy chances. Now Meyer, who coached a Heisman winner at Florida named Tim Tebow, is joining a growing number who think the Buckeyes sophomore might just be a viable contender for the award. Miller is just the third Big Ten quarterback to top 1,000 rushing yards in a season, and he currently ranks 11th in the country and first in the conference at 121 a game. When the stats are backed by a team with a spotless 9-0 record and a No. 6 ranking, that adds more weight to the argument. Ohio State officials are now looking into ways to promote Miller's candidacy as the school's potential eighth Heisman winner.

No Heisman For Braxton Miller This Year

September belonged to Geno Smith, but two straight losses caused him to hand the baton to Collin Klein. The Kansas State quarterback has led his team to an 8-0 start and a #2 ranking in the BCS standings. Just four games remaining against good but not great competition stand in the way of him and the Heisman trophy, followed by a trip to Miami for the BCS title game. It's easy...

Urban Meyer believes he has something special

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Nine games and as many wins into his first season at Ohio State, Urban Meyer believes he might have something special going. Through it all, despite being within a whisper of losing, they've persevered...

Pieces of a Buckeye Rant

Each and every week I watch the Buckeyes play and try to think of certain topics that would be interesting to cover in the upcoming days. Each and every week I struggle to come up with something of substance. It is extremely annoying. What can I say about this team that has not already been beaten to death or given a fresh perspective on? Then my A.D.D. kicks in and I realize another...
