Ohio State Loses Out On A Major Star To One Of Their New Big Ten Rivals
Craig Strobeck-USA TODAY Sports

The 2024 college football season will be here before you know it, and Ohio State is ready to take on the college football world. The Buckeyes are supposed to be the number one or two team in the country heading into the year and the team to beat in the Big Ten, but a new team heading to the conference will give them a run for their money this season.

Oregon Is Heading To The Big Ten

The Oregon Ducks are heading to the Big Ten this season, and they will be one of the top five teams in the country when the season kicks off. The Ducks will face the Buckeyes in early October at home, and the last time we saw the two meet in 2021, Oregon brought home a victory.

Oregon Steals A Recruit From Ohio State

According to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, “Four-Star ATH Dierre Hill Jr. has Committed to Oregon; the 6’0 185 ATH from Belleville, IL chose the Ducks over Ohio State & Illinois.”

Dierre Hill Jr Is A Star

According to 247sports.com, Dierre Hill Jr is ranked as the seventh running back in the 2025 class and the 143rd player overall.

The Belleville, Illinois native will bring a dynamic play style to an already high-flying Ducks offense next season, and he should be entertaining to watch.
