The wait was finally over.  Buckeye fans across the nation would get to see their beloved Ohio State football team in action for the first time under head coach and two time national champion Urban Meyer. And although coach Meyer did not show all of his cards on offense, nor was the defense as stout as one might have hoped, all in attendance had to be pleased as the clock wound down today in Columbus, Ohio.  It may have been just a little more than a scrimmage, but here are five lessons that can be taken from today’s Spring Game at the Horseshoe: This year’s version of the Ohio State football team will be a lot more competitive than last season.  No disrespect to Luke Fickell, but last year there was a sense that, at times,the team got complacent in certain games. If this afternoon’s pregame one on one contract drills were any indication, complacency is not a word in Urban Meyer’s dictionary.
