Earlier this week, former Tennessee Vols defensive back Tamarion McDonald flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Louisville.
McDonald was one of several former Vols in the transfer portal who committed to Ole Miss last month, along with Tyler Baron and Keyshawn Lawrence (Lawrence started his career at UT before transferring to Oklahoma).
With McDonald off to Louisville, Ole Miss is now reportedly targeting former Vols defensive back Brandon Turnage, who entered the transfer portal in December.
Adding more SEC flavor to the visitors list, Tennessee safety Brandon Turnage will also be in Oxford this weekend. The former four-star is originally from Lafayette County and began his career at Alabamahttps://t.co/AA4ZwQ9JlF pic.twitter.com/yieWBZE3CT

Turnage, who is from Oxford, spent the first two years of his collegiate career at Alabama before transferring to Tennessee ahead of the 2021 season.
The former Vol totaled nine tackles in 2023. His best season came in 2021 when he totaled 22 tackles and earned SEC player of the week honors after a 14 tackle performance in a win against South Carolina.
Tennessee lost several defensive backs to the transfer portal this offseason. But it's not a concern for the program as they have some nice young talent on the roster that's ready to step up. The Vols have also added several key players from the portal, including safety Jakobe Thomas and cornerbacks Jalen McMurray and Jermod McCoy.
