Casey Pachall's weird, turbulent TCU career took another unexpected turn last week when he was suspended following a DWI arrest. Now it appears the Pachall era in Fort Worth has officially come to an end. Head coach Gary Patterson met with reporters yesterday and confirmed that Pachall would be entering an inpatient rehabilitation program scheduled to last between 30 and 60 days. To complete the program Pachall has to withdraw from TCU, but Patterson and school officials confirmed he'd be eligible to enroll in the future and would still be allowed to return to the team if he met NCAA requirements. This is the latest, and hopefully last, in a string of off-field issues that have marred the Horned Frogs first season in the Big 12.
