TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State junior defensive tackle Mike Pennel has been suspended indefinitely for a failure to meet team standards, coach Todd Graham said Tuesday.
Pennel, who was also suspended for ASU's second game of the season against Illinois, did not play in the Sun Devils' win against California on Saturday and was not at practice Tuesday.

He’s also in outstanding shape.
Well, on September 5th the Duck announced he was running for president and now his competitors...

Already doubling his career reception total just five games into the season, the former walk-on wide receiver is quickly becoming a key part in the Sun Devils’ offense.
Arizona State would love nothing more than to establish a pipeline to Euless (Tex.) Trinity High School, one of the lone star state’s prep powerhouses. After landing tight end Jason Reese from that program, the Sun Devils have their sights set on his teammate Salesi Uhatafe. The offensive lineman officially visited Tempe the same week Reese did and was delighted with his experience.
Former NCAA champion and three-time All-America wrestler Anthony Robles of Arizona State joins Matt this week to discuss his remarkable story, the state of wrestling as a college sport and his recently published autobiography: "Unstoppable."
Among his observations:
