The University of Miami football team played host to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on Saturday. And you would think this rant by former Hurricane and current radio personality Dan Sielo would ignite some excitement around the program, right? Ah, not so much.

Miami did take care of business on the field by rolling up the Wildcats by a score of 38-10. However, the same cannot be said for the fan support in the stands.

Shown above is a snapshot of how the stadium looked just prior to kickoff. Quick, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and look around. You'll likely see more fans there than there were at this game.

To be fair, Bethune-Cookman isn't exactly an alluring opponent to go spend your Saturday watching. With that said, Saturday's attendance has to be viewed as a major disappointment and embarrasment for the 'Canes. The program boasts five national championships and has sent a countless number of its players to the National Football League. But in a city with as much to do as Miami, head coach Al Golden is finding it mighty hard to put butts in the seats.

For the record, the attendance listed in the box score was 39,435. Remember, that's the number of tickets sold and not the actual number who went through the turnstiles.
