The Florida coaches are starting to experiment with some of the freshmen. Jafar Mann signed with the Gators as a defensive tackle but is now starting to get some playing time as an offensive guard. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn said that the move isn’t permanent yet, but they are moving some freshmen around on the defensive line to add some necessary depth.

The Florida Gators will play a number of true freshmen during the 2012 football season and that trend will start during Saturday’s opener against Bowling Green. It’s not surprising* as it’s become quite the frequent occurrence not only at Florida, but around the nation.
Among those expected to contribute and even see time in the first game are running back Matt Jones, wide...

Mike Gillislee is the Florida Gators starting running back. We know this, and we’re also aware of his lofty expectations for the 2012 season. Behind him is a group of backs with very little game experience. There’s a true freshman, a converted defensive back/linebacker, and Mack Brown.
Brown came to Florida with the hype that surrounds most four-star recruits. In the two seasons...
Florida Gators Buck linebacker Ronald Powell was on track to take a major leap forward in 2012. The junior had shown flashes in the past, but was said to have been a workout warrior during the offseason. Powell appeared determined to live up to the enormous hype that came with being the nation’s top high school prospect a few years ago and people had taken notice. Then he tore...
BASKETBALL!!! ON THE DAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL BEGINS!!! Yes, but I promise I’ll keep it short and then return you to your regularly scheduled programming (of which there is plenty).
2014 shooting guard Grayson Allen unofficially visited the Florida Gators this past weekend. The Jacksonville, FL (Providence) guard took a quick look at Florida and came away impressed. He met with head...
FightinGators.com is there every step of the way covering your Florida Gators. A few players talked to the media today including Lerentee McCray, the starting BUCK on Saturday who will be asked to supply plenty of pass rush. Fightin' Gators Cody Jones and Brianne Wigley talk about the upcoming game and just what this team needs to do in this brief video segment.
As fans of the (sometimes) mighty Florida Gators, we like to hang our hat on the fact that the SEC has won the last six national titles. After all, we won two of those six – even if they were numbers one and three and things have been shaky since.
Despite the conference love, there really is no, well, conference love. Doug – of Hey Jenny Slater and @CaptainAnnoying – gives...

I guess it’s not that weird, but it is different. We here at The Bull Gator started this last season and figured we might as well continue. (We’re still not sure where our inspiration came from, but we’ve seen similar things done elsewhere, so thanks to anyone that may be doing something like this.) This is our way of predicting the 2012 SEC football season. It’s more than...
