The news broke today that Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. The MRI revealed that Redd tore two ligaments in his left knee both the ACL and MCL. Just the cap on the bottle of a rough year for Redd. We wish Redd the best in his recovery.

Now I'm sure there are many of you out there scratching your heads. Unless you're a closet Bucks fan or drafted Michael Redd in the second round of your fantasy league this shouldn't affect you right? Wrong. This news has relevance to the Blazers ladies and gents. Well actually it only has relevance for those who were thinking the Blazers would trade for Redd. Or those who were thinking the Blazers should trade for Redd. The dreams of watching Redd's silky smooth left handed stroke in a Blazer uni this year or dead. They have died like my interest during The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Also for those itching for a midseason deal, Redd's injury brings that list of guys we would realistically bring in to about 2 or 3. Enjoy the rumors like a woman loves a pedicure, toss around Wallace and Felton, Mike Conley and Nate Robinson and dream of David Lee but the chances of that blockbuster midseason trade are slimmer than Vinny Del Negro outcoaching anyone.

Sorry to burst your bubble trade rumor maniacs but this is looking the squad we'll be taking to Spring. That's not so bad..right? --- - :object_type: 3 :gsub_string: Milwaukee Bucks :object_id: 72 - :object_type: 4 :gsub_string: Michael Redd :object_id: 4685 - :object_type: 4 :gsub_string: Michael Redd :object_id: 4685
