Michigan Quarterback Russell Bellomy Out Indefinitely with Torn ACLANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan football junior/sophomore quarterback Russell Bellomy (Arlington, Texas/Martin) is out indefinitely with a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered in last Friday's practice, the team announced today (Monday, April 1)."It's unfortunate, especially for a kid who battled through a tough injury last season and was having a really good spring," said Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke. "We'll continue to support Russell and look forward to having him back on the field."
Much like Jake Ryan's, its all a crap shoot when it comes to recovery time. ACL's are tricky, they heal very slowly...much slower then a bone break. Assume the worst...out probably a year.
So what does this mean? Well, it means incoming freshman 5-star Shane Morris is the backup...

The Michigan Wolverines blew past the Florida Gators to advance to the 2013 Final Four, however, the NY Times thinks it was the 'Spartans'.

With the offensive rumors out of the way, it's on to the meat of Michigan football program: The defense.
The cornerstone of Michigan's recruiting effort since Brady Hoke was hired has been to amass as much top-tier defensive talent as possible. Before Hoke was hired, Dave Brandon said he wanted to find a defensive minded coach. Hoke...
Chad Ford is of the opinion that Mitch McGary could be a first round pick:
McGary’s stock is clearly on the rise. What’s harder to gauge is where exactly to put him in our Top 100. While GMs warn that you can’t put too much stock on the NCAA tournament, McGary’s situation is unique. He didn’t play big minutes, or a starting role on Michigan until the Big Ten Tournament...
Spike Albrecht shined while Trey Burke sat.
After all that, Michigan and Louisville were still pretty much even. Then the Wolverines couldn't stop Louisville in the second half.
With Burke on the bench in early foul trouble, the seldom-used Albrecht scored 17 points in the first half, and the Wolverines led by 12 in Monday night's national title game. But that lead was...
It looked like Michigan was headed home than Trey Burke decided to take over. He scored all of 23 points in the 2nd half and overtime and he hit a deep three pointer to send the game into overtime. Michigan beat Kansas by 2 and went on to cruise past Florida in the Elite 8. This is Michigan’s first trip to the Final Four since the Fab 5.

Michigan freshman shooting guard Nik Stauskas knocked down his first three in the Wolverines win against Florida and never looked back. Stauskas knocked down six for the game in a 22 point effort and talks about his performance afterward.
Mitch McGary faced some unexpected adversity in Michigan’s last game versus Kansas, but was able to overcome it by delivering yet another monster effort. His emergence is one to the tournament’s top stories, but it has many observers wondering what brought it about. McGary sat down with the media to shed light on his physical and mental growth, the tone he sets for his team...
The Michigan Wolverines are off to the Final Four, and the superstar three-point shooting and passing of Nik Stauskas is a huge reason why.
Michigan's sophomore PG was voted to the 10-member John R. Wooden All-America Team as well as the Associated Press All-America first team today.
Michigan is 20 minutes away from a trip to Atlanta for their first Final Four appearance in 20 years (1993).
On this Easter Sunday, Nik Stauskas has 19 first half points and the Wolverines are up on the Gators by 17, 47-30.
