Saying a player was cut never sounds good, to the player or the fan base. In this instance however, I think the Dolphins helped out Zach Thomas in some respect. Since he wasn't traded, he can go to any team of his choosing, assuming they are interested.

  • yeah i agree some contender will offer him up a deal not the eagles though they have a good set of young LBs and Takeo Spikes. He would probably be a good fit in San Diego
  • Wow... I like Zach... He was a strong contributor to my fantasy football team last year for the period of time that he played. I hope he gets picked up quickly and is fairly compensated.

  • Pats on the phone in 3, 2, 1, ...
  • Yeah, that almost seems like an inevitability doesn't it?
  • This hurts. I get it. But he's one of the best to play the game- period. And I agree. He might as well start looking for a home in MA now.
  • lol @ the Pats being the designated 'old folks home'....
  • lol
  • I don't think the Patriots would replace their aging linebackers with a different aging linebacker.
  • I like it. Bill Parcells is cleaning house. Thomas was good and may have some tread left, but why gamble on a concussion case linebacker?
  • Because the best LB you have now doesn't know where London is located and sometimes crashes his car and leaves the scene of the wreck.
  • We have Joey Porter, who I believe is better than Channing Crowder.
  • Sorry, I forgot about Porter.

    My comment should have read:
"Because the best LB you have now gang tackles offense linemen in casinos and guarantees victories against the Raiders only to allow them to rush for 299 yards."

    My apologies.
  • im a eagles fan til the end, but one thing is clear, we got to spend some money this off season to contend with the nfc east.
  • me 2 but the eagles are 2 fucking cheap thas y they wont win a super bowl in like 200 years they fucking suck draftin and bringing player
  • was a great player cant say enough about the guy........hes the type of guy the eagles could use as veteran leadership
  • he was a great player but i think itz his time.He been having migranes since that car crash and is 35 .coming from a dolphin fan i would love for him to just retire than go to another tema and play for them
    im gonna miss the guy
  • nah, Zach is good enough to make the pro bowl again... he deserves to take a shot at the championship with another team (as long as it isnt new england)
  • Sorry to see him go. Hand on heart he doesn't fit the new 3-4 they're looking to install but I think he has another good year or two in him. Sure gonna be a shame to see him in a different uniform next year though.
  • I'll like to see if he gets that extra spark with a new team like Ty Law

  • Hey 5, he said on NFL Radio that he does not want to go to a team that is rebuilding...That would leave Dallas out of the mix.

  • Just a joke!
