PLAYERS: Aaron Murray
TEAMS:
First of all let me congratulate the University of Georgia Bulldogs for winning the east division of the SEC and making it to Atlanta for the Championship game against the University of Alabama, winners of the west.  That was quite an exciting championship game between both Bama and the dawgs this past Saturday afternoon and I was fortunate to be able to catch it prior to walking over to BOA Stadium and watching what was certain to be a pathetic ACC Championship Game.  Given the incredible stakes on the line heading into this game with the winner playing against the University of Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship Game, it only increased the excitement level.  Although I generally prefer to watch football in the confines of a warm and inviting home, a restaurant had to suffice given the unique situation involved. It was hard to understand how UGA was almost a touchdown underdawg heading into this contest after the way they manhandled a Yellow Jackets squad headed to their v...

Video: Georgia losing like only Georgia can

It was setting up to being one of the most dramatic endings to an SEC Championship, but then the Georgia Bulldogs finished it like only Georgia could. Alabama’s defense was on its heels when Georgia reached the 8-yard line with only 15 seconds remaining. The obvious thing to do at this point was to clock [...]

Aaron Murray & His Brother Handle SEC Championship Game Loss Pretty Well

How did Aaron Murray handle Georgia’s loss on Saturday? Evidently not well. According to @rindinkulous, Murray was so frustrated with the outcome of his final drive that he smashed his iPhone on the ground. The photo was tweeted out at around 4:00 p.m. the day after the game with the following message: It looks like Zack co-founded a company called ‘Bulldawg iPhone Repair...

Georgia's Aaron Murray Gets Rocked By Alabama Defender

SEC Title Game: Georgia Made Me Real Proud

The 2012 SEC Championship game ended in a heartbreaker for the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia played like it was the last game on Earth. Fans and the media question why the Bulldogs didn't spike the football at the end of the game. I look at this game as a success for Georgia- they gave Bama all they had.I've criticized Aaron Murray and Mark Richt all season. They proved me wrong...

Georgia Football: Chuck Oliver to Mark Richt, ‘My Bad, Dawg…’

Remember this heated exchange: ; Well, the reporter who lobbed that ill-fated question—Atlanta radio personality Chuck Oliver—came forth yesterday and issued a mea culpa, of sorts, saying he shouldn’t have asked that particular question, at that particular time. 680 the Fan, which is the official sports talk station of the Georgia Bulldogs, declined a request from FOX 5...

Monday Medicine: Aaron Murray

I should give a MM dose to the Bulldogs after they came within four yards and an accidental completion of knocking off Alabama and heading to the BCS Championship Game, but Aaron Murray needs some personal use level love today. Georgia's QB threw for 265 yards and a TD, but tossed his only pick on a crucial drive in the second quarter. Murray didn't beat himself up for the...

Mark Richt gets testy with reporter following loss to Alabama

It was the most exciting college football game of the year and Alabama-Georgia in the SEC Championship certainly lived up to expectations. The Championship game came down to the wire, and with Georgia needing a touchdown to win, they came up just short four yards short. Electing not to spike the ball with 15 seconds remaining, Richt drew up a fade for Aaron Murray to throw. The ball...

Georgia Blocks Field Goal Against Alabama, Returns for Touchdown (Video)

Georgia linebacker Cornelius Washington had one of the bright spots on Saturday when they lost to Alabama when he blocked this kick.  Alec Ogletree grabbed the blocked kick and took it back for the touchdown.  Sadly that wasn't enough and Georgia still lost 32-28 to Alabama.  Check out the block and touchdown in the video below. Well, I was hoping for a little different...
